I am running 10k around Victoria Park for the World AIDS Day Red Run on 25 November.
The charities I am supporting are Positive East & Positively UK. I was diagnosed with HIV in October 2022 and they have both been a great support to me since then.

Positively UK is a national organisation which aims to protect the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV by providing tailored peer support, promoting positive attitudes and equitable access to health for people living with HIV. Positively UK advances education and research about health, particularly in relation to HIV. We campaign against HIV discrimination, increasing the involvement, voice and visibility of people living with HIV in all aspects of life. Positively UK provides peer-led support, advocacy and information to everyone living with HIV to effectively manage any aspect of their diagnosis, care and life with HIV.

Positive East has been at the forefront of HIV service and care for three decades; supporting people from point of HIV diagnosis to longer term care. Guided by their mission - to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities affected by HIV – they have developed a holistic range of health and wellbeing programmes, from counselling to workshops to HIV testing and prevention.
