We support the Wessex Neurological Centre to enhance the quality of patient care

Story

I'm running a half-marathon to raise some money in memory of my dad who passed away in 2021, to go towards the Smile4Wessex charity. This charity supports the Wessex Neurological Centre (in Southampton General Hospital), where patients with brain-related diseases and injuries are treated for here. Any donations no matter how small are greatly appreciated.

Smile4Wessex provide charitable support to the Wessex Neurological Centre, within Southampton General Hospital. This is one of the largest and most highly respected neurological centres in the UK. The unit provides acute specialist care to a population of approximately three million people across the South Coast, the Isle of Wight and Channel Islands, for a variety of neurological conditions, including; brain tumour, brain injury, stroke, brain haemorrhage, epilepsy, motor neurone disease and dementia. Our appeals ensure that the Wessex Neurological Centre is equipped with the very best technology and facilities available, to enhance the range and quality of patient care and to also sponsor pioneering research into new treatments.
