Story

Hi

I have decided to run the Brighton marathon as I am having some sort of early mid life crisis…

I am running the marathon to support Alzheimers Society. My grandads both suffered and suffer with dementia - a disease that is now expected to affect 1 in 3 people born in the UK in their lifetime. It is the UK's biggest health and social care crisis and it is anticipated that 1.4 million people will be living with dementia by 2040.

The charity do some fantastic work in supporting people suffering with dementia along with their carers, along with supporting research that tries to identify what causes dementia, develop effective treatments, and one day hopefully find a cure.

It is a very worthwhile cause and I would be grateful for any money that people can spare to help carry on what they do.

Thank you for anything you can give.

Liam
