LGH Best Western Managers Take on the Cap de Formentor Challenge for Cancer Research UK

In March 2025, four LGH Best Western Managers will be attending the Best Western Pan European Conference in Mallorca. While there, they’ve decided to turn this trip into an opportunity to make a real difference—by taking on an epic cycling challenge to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.

Gordon Dennistoun, Bob Fairweather, David Croasdale, and Damon Yoxall will be tackling the breathtaking yet formidable Cap de Formentor loop, starting and finishing in Puerto Pollensa, in the north of the island. This stunning but demanding route covers 35.5km, with a gruelling 973m of elevation, and is officially rated as “challenging to hard.”

Why Cancer Research UK?

Cancer is an illness that touches almost every life in some way, and we want to do our part in the fight against it. But this challenge is also deeply personal—we recently lost a valued colleague, Nick Henry, who was taken from us far too soon due to cancer. This ride is in his memory, and for everyone affected by this disease.
