Story

Please join me in my fundraising campaign to raise money to eradicate Malaria in Angola. Malaria is a major health concern in Angola, with high mortality rates and a significant burden on the healthcare system.

Why Angola?

This cause is extremely close to my heart, as I lost my sister Else to malaria in Angola. Your generous donation will contribute to the global efforts to eradicate this deadly disease and honour the memory of my sister.

I left Angola 48 years ago, due to the Civil War. In March 2023, I finally had the opportunity to return to seek my sister's grave. This inspired this effort for me.

Your generous donation will support groundbreaking research.

While in Angola, I spent time with the U.S President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) team, including Catia Marques. Catia and the team have identified several key research topics that address gaps in current knowledge to improve malaria control and elimination in Angola. This funding will help sponsor a PhD in critical research projects in the fight against malaria in Angola.

Any amount you can donate will be invaluable in supporting this groundbreaking research and honouring the memory of my sister Else.

Thank you for your generosity and for being a part of the global fight against malaria.

Finally needless to say if you can share this with people you think would care about this project - please feel free to do so, and get the word out!

Lars
