Story

Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit our team JustGiving page! We are trying to raise £1000 to help support two amazing charities: Lanark Amateur Musical Society (LAMS) and Who Dares Cares.

All of our dedicated fundraisers are members of LAMS, a local amateur dramatics group based in Lanark, Scotland. As a club, we are performing Sunshine on Leith in March 2025 and are looking to raise money to help support the show. In the true spirit of the famous Proclaimers song, each of our club members are aiming to walk 500 miles each in 150 days!

We are also raising funds to help support our charity partner, Who Dares Cares, who support Armed Forces and Blue Light Services personnel, including their families, who are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The aims of the charity link closely to the themes of Sunshine on Leith, which follows the story of two soldiers, Davy and Ally, as they adjust back to civilian life in Edinburgh following a period of war.

Each organisation will receive 50% of the funds donated. Please help support our cause and donate whatever you can! Please check out the LAMS social media pages for updates on our progress.
