Story
She touched us all - effortlessly!
Smart, Funny, Kind, Humble, Attentive, Loving, Thoughtful, Incredible, Strong, Supportive, Compassionate… are just some of the words I would use to describe my amazing twin Sister, Lesley.
Lesley experienced first hand the benefits of all the research and trials that organisations, like the ICR undertake on a daily basis while she was being treated in the US.
She beat the disease for over seven years until she died far too soon at the age of 54 in February this year. She leaves a massive gap in our lives, mostly in the hearts of her husband, Marc, and her two young children, whose maturity and strength is an inspiration to all of us. Lesley‘s character, spirit, and memory will live on through them.
In Lesley’s memory, I and a group of my close friends are undertaking the Yorkshire three peaks challenge. This is a 23 mile, 10,000 feet ascent challenge that takes place in a single day and we shall be doing this on the 4th October. Personally, I shall be undertaking this effort in affiliation with the Business Supplies Industry's “Climb of Life” that has raised well over £1 million for the ICR in its history.
