Weldmar Hospicecare is a Dorset charity providing specialist end of life care for adults with life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.

2024 sees Weldmar celebrating 30 years of service to our community, and yet as with many hospices, it has experienced significant loss of funding and hence I thought there was no better time to raise some money for this amazing place.

Weldmar has supported several friends of mine, and I want to help ensure the services it wonderfully provides are available for those in need.

Therefore I will be fundraising during 2024, starting with a Challenge Walk of 20 miles around Poole Harbour, and culminating in a challenging expedition to Machu Picchu in 2025.

This will be the biggest fitness and endurance challenge I have ever undertaken - a 5 day trek along the Salkantay Trail through rainforest, jungle and undulating (to say the least!) rocky terrain, exposed to altitude of up to 4,630m. I will be camping along the way in variable weather conditions.
