Les was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in April this year, and after a short but hard fought battle, died on 20 November. Mesothelioma is an aggressive, currently incurable form of lung cancer which is caused by exposure to asbestos. It is likely he was exposed over 50 years ago.
He was a much loved father, papa, husband, brother, colleague and friend. His death leaves a huge hole in many people's lives, and he will be sorely missed.
Mesothelioma UK is the national charity for anyone affected by mesothelioma, a preventable cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. They exist to support people with mesothelioma to live better and live longer and to prevent mesothelioma happening to future generations. They do this by advocating for better treatment and care, enhancing quality of life, supporting research and amplifying the patient’s voice.
