I am taking part in this challenge in memory of two friends who benefited from the support and comfort given by Severn Hospice in their final days. Not to be forgotten are the family members who also know that their loved ones are in good hands.

For 35 years, Severn Hospice have been supporting local people facing heartbreak. Every year, their nurses and care teams walk an average of 10,000 steps a day while providing the specialist support that means so much to local people who need it. None of this would happen without supporters.

This year Severn Hospice is challenging us to take part in the XL step challenge. To support Severn Hospice, we will be walking 10,000 steps for each of the 35 years, reaching 350,000 steps in September and fundraising for Severn Hospice while getting those steps in.

Your support means the world to Severn Hospice. All their care is provided for free, but it is not without cost – they have to raise £2 for every £3 they spend.
