Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Leo's Pride are raising funds throughout 2024, in memory of our little chookie man, Leo Flett. Our chosen charity for the year is 'Held In Our Hearts'.
Held In Our Hearts are based in Edinburgh and are new to the Highlands. We are raising funds to widen the services within the Highland area, to support bereaved parents of both baby and child loss. It has been agreed with the charity that any monies raised through Leo's Pride this year will stay within the Highlands.
After Mitchell and I suddenly losing Leo back on 31 July 2019, we found that there were no support services available for bereaved parents of child loss at the time, within the Highland region. Meaning, through the most difficult of times, we had to navigate our way through finding the support we felt we needed to deal with the immense grief of losing Leo, by ourselves. Had Held In Our Hearts been up in the Highlands at this point, this would have been an invaluable resource to us.
We already have a couple of events planned for the year, including taking on 'The Great Glencoe Challenge'. A marathon trek through rough terrain from the heart of Glencoe to the foot of Ben Nevis. The event will take place on Saturday 6 July 2024. Please visit our team page for more information about this.
You will also see the return of Party with the Pride later in the year.
If you would like to support us by doing your own event to support the charity, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
We want to raise as much as we can through Leo's Pride, throughout 2024, to help other bereaved parents like us.
Thank you for your support, from the bottom of our hearts. It really means a lot.
Thank you for continuing to help us make Leo proud.
