Hello All!

I am taking on the Tokyo Marathon on 3rd march 2024! I have a big passion for running and have run many marathons worldwide, but this one is pretty special and will be the last of the 'big six' world wide marathons for me to attempt. I am delighted to get the opportunity to take part in this.

My reason for fundraising is not however to secure a place in the marathon, as I already have a spot. I am using this big event to raise awareness and hopefully some much needed funds for The Save the Children Emergency fund.

This charity does incredible work in the UK and all around the world for children, to give them a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. They do whatever it takes for children every day and in times of crisis.

The Save the Children Emergency fund is specifically set up to respond to disasters around the world immediately. Children's lives are at risk following an increase of violence in Gaza and Israel. The ongoing war in Ukraine along with a number of natural disasters such as floods & earthquakes in recent months. Children in East Africa are also on the brink of one of the worst famines in 40 years.

I am sure like me you are horrified by the daily news updates of these events, and by supporting my fundraising page, you are helping all of those children that have been directly impacted by these events.
