EDF vows to help end the devastation of dementia. We aim to raise a whopping £300,000 through employee fundraising and £150,000 in additional donations, all supporting the cost of life changing dementia services and ground-breaking research.

Story

I am reaching out to ask for your support as I prepare to run the Hackney Half Marathon this year in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimer’s Society supports those living with dementia today, providing hope for the future. I feel this cause is incredibly important as Alzheimer's has and will impact so many of us and the charity is also at the forefront of researching a cure for this disease.

Last year, I ran the half marathon for St Mungo’s Homeless Charity and despite an injury, I completed the race in 2 hours 18 minutes and managed to raise over £600. This year, I’m determined to go further and raise more while continuing to run for a meaningful cause.

I would be truly grateful for any sponsorship you could provide to help fund Alzheimer’s Society’s work. Your support would mean a lot to me and to those living with dementia.
