Story
In 2018, I was diagnosed with a vestibular schwannoma brain tumour. Surgery was my only option due to its size, and I had to learn to walk and balance again. I was left with permanent, profound, unilateral hearing loss, invasive tinnitus, balance issues, fatigue and impaired vision.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
Last September, I attempted to run from Land's End to John O'Groats, but unfortunately after 4 days and 169 miles, I was forced to withdraw due to injuries that were ultimately caused by the lasting effects of my brain tumour. So, on 26th March 2023, I'll be continuing my journey from where I left off to fundraise for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help us fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
