Story
My daughter, Effie, was diagnosed with a rare cancer in her spinal cord when she was only 4 months old. After 2 major spinal operations and 11 months of chemotherapy at Bristol Children’s Hospital, she’s doing really well. There’s still a long road ahead, but we are feeling positive about her future. The Grand Appeal have done so much for my daughter, not just medically (helping fund research and buying equipment), but also looking after her well-being when she’s on the ward. They fund play therapists and music therapists, to name just a few services, which both my daughter and wife really love and have benefited from. This makes the long days sat in an isolated hospital room brighter. I now have the opportunity to give back to the charity so they can continue to help other children and their families. Thank you The Grand Appeal.
To give back I’ll be hiking through the desert of Jordan to the lost city of Petra with an amazing group of people who are also fundraising for their chosen charities. Please give whatever you can afford. Every penny helps. Thank you for your kindness. You’re making a bigger difference than you realise.
