Story
In the heart of our community, there stood a tree—a towering giant, a symbol of strength, and a silent witness to generations of our stories. This majestic tree was more than just a part of our landscape; it was a part of our shared history, a living testament to the beauty of nature, and a source of inspiration for us all.
Tragically, our beloved tree has been cut down, leaving a void in our hearts and a gap in our community that can never be truly filled. Its loss has touched the lives of everyone who has ever sought solace in its shade, marvelled at its grandeur, or shared a moment beneath its boughs. But from this loss, we are determined to support the creation of something beautiful, enduring, and meaningful—a living tribute that will honour the memory of our iconic tree.
With your help, we aim to support a project that will not only celebrate the legacy of our tree but also benefit our community for generations to come. This project will be a symbol of resilience and unity, just like the tree itself.
Your contributions will support future projects which take place at the site of Sycamore Gap and work carried out by National Trust along Hadrians Wall and the local area.
We envision the creation of a lasting memorial—a place where future generations can come to learn about the tree's history, it's significance to our community, and the importance of preserving our natural treasures. A space where people can gather, reflect, and reconnect with nature—a place that embodies the spirit of our beloved tree.
Join us in honouring the legacy of a tree that meant so much to our community and the world. All money raised will be donated to the proposed projects by National Trust and we will work closely to support their ideas.Thank you for being a part of this heartfelt endeavour.
Together, we can keep the spirit of our beloved tree alive in our hearts and our community forever.
