Story
Join in this years Leeds Legal Walk for the Access to Justice Foundation!
Did you know that two thirds of people in the UK do not know how to get legal advice, 14 million people live in poverty and cannot afford access to justice, the annual legal aid budget, in real terms, is £950m less than it was in 2010 and that up to a million people live in areas with no legal aid provision for housing.
The Access to Justice Foundation are the only national charity solely focused on delivering access to justice for those in need. They use their expertise to tackle the barriers to justice that advice organisations continually face. They aim to make the case for advice and help advice charities build stable foundations to continue to provide vital legal services to the most marginalised individuals.
Funds raised through the walks will be used by The Access to Justice Foundation to support free legal advice across the UK – in communities where it is needed the most.
