Story

10 weeks before our due date Caroline and I went for a routine pregnancy scan which uncovered the fact that Alfie was suffering from a rare heart condition called Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia

Alfie was born 4 weeks later (6 weeks premature) at the RVI hospital Durham and sent straight to intensive care.

Whilst in hospital the thought of being separated from our little boy was unbearable and thats when we first experienced the incredible care afforded to us by The Sick Children's Trust and their "Home from Home" scheme a place to stay barely minutes away from his ward.

We are incredibly lucky that Alfie's health has improved incredibly over the past 18 months, however we as a family will be internally grateful this incredible charity and everything it has done for us.

Hence why I am taking on the incredible challenge that is the 2025 London Marathon raising money to give back and ensure that other families is need of such a vital and important service has access similar to us when the require it.

It costs £40 to support a family for one night and this fundraising will do so much good.

Anything you gave will be incredible!

Thank you
