Hi guys.

First of all, I'm not the hero that I refer to in the title. I'll save that accolade for the men and women of the Ambulance service, Fire and rescue service, Air ambulance and all NHS staff who make a difference every single day.

I consider myself fortunate enough to have been able to help a friend, father and all around good guy enjoy a bit more of what life has to offer.

I consider September 14th to be the most important run I have and probably will ever do.

Not long after leaving home I came across Darren Hughes who collapsed right in front of my eyes from a cardiac arrest. I was able to get him the help he needed and provide CPR for around 15 minutes before the Fire and Rescue Service arrived shortly followed by the Paramedics. These guys are the real life savers and fortunately, after what felt like a lifetime, they managed to get him breathing again.

The Air Ambulance was the last piece of the puzzle and they managed to get Darren to Cardiff to continue the lifesaving treatment.

The Air Ambulance is a charitable trust and rely on people's generosity to fund the great work they do.

Living in rural Wales, the Air Ambulance could be the greatest hope of survival for many!

I guarantee that the majority of people reading this will know someone who has required an Air Ambulance so let's make sure its there in the future to save more lives!

So, what am I going to do to fundraise?!

First of all on April 27th is London Marathon. Then on May 10th is a 24hr race along Offas Dyke. And finally on June 21st is the Epona100. A 100 mile race around the heart of Wales!

Please give what you can and let's raise a shed load of money!
