Story
Airedale hospital children’s ward are in need of new equipment for a play park for the children staying on ward 17. I have decided to help raise funds to get these children the things they need to stimulate and maintain a happy time whilst at the hospital. These kids suffer daily which really upsets me and many others. The activity I will be doing is a marathon to raise as much money as possible please help me and ward 17 staff raise as much as we can to secure the future plans of the hospital. Also a few girls from ward 17 are doing a trail trek in Peru so please get behind us
Rebecca Bell, Kirsty Randell, Suzi Vogt, Chantell Langford and Kim Varey, members of staff from Airedale NHS Foundation Trusts Childrens Unit, will be taking on the Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu in Peru from 6-15 October 2023. It will involve a 46km trek over four days at an altitude of over 4,000m.
Our team is aiming to raise £5,000 to improve the outdoor spaces of Airedales childrens unit for patients and families to enjoy while they are in hospital.
All funds raised will be donated to Airedale Hospital and Community Charity (the official NHS charity for Airedale NHS Foundation Trust) for use by the childrens unit. Any funds remaining will go to the charitys ABC (Airedale Baby & Child) fund to continue to be used for the benefit of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, its patients, and employees.
