November 2023 our son, Noah was born 8 weeks premature in North Tees Hospital. Throughout this difficult time, Neoangels, aswell as the NHS Staff were unbelievable in supporting our family. Therefore the reason for me carrying out this challenge is to help give back to an amazing cause to help other families in the same situation we found ourselves in.

NeoAngels is dedicated to providing as much love, care, and support as possible to our families, babies, and staff on the Neonatal Unit at the University Hospital of North Tees. We understand the immense challenges that parents face when their little ones require specialized care. It is a journey filled with uncertainty, fear, and financial burden.

At NeoAngels, we strive to ease this burden by offering practical assistance. We purchase parking vouchers and help with travel expenses so that parents can focus on being there for their babies without worrying about the costs. Additionally, we provide a hot meal in the hospital canteen daily for parents, ensuring they have one less thing to worry about during this challenging time.

But our support goes beyond practical assistance. We also provide essential medical equipment to ensure that every baby receives the best possible care. We have a specialist bereavement fund in place to support families who tragically lose their baby. Our team offers emotional support, understanding the profound grief and heartache that comes with such a loss.

We believe in caring for the entire family unit. That's why we extend our support to siblings as well. We understand that having a brother or sister in the Neonatal Unit can be confusing and overwhelming for young children. Through various programs and activities, we aim to create a nurturing environment where siblings can find comfort and understanding.

By participating in the Great North Run 2024 marathon on September 8th, 2024, I am committed to raising funds for NeoAngels. Our target amount is £500 GBP.
