Having just turned 40, I feel that it's time to push myself out of my comfort zone. I have a bucket list of things that I wish to achieve before I turn 50, because as we all know, life is short and we have to make the most of the time that we have.

I have always been afraid of heights and even more afraid of flying - so I thought, I know, I'll do a skydive...yikes!!! However, I have wanted to do this for such a long time but never had the courage; and I know that I will feel so proud of myself afterwards, and my kids will be super proud of me too.

I would appreciate any donations, no matter how small because all of the money is going into The Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Charity.

LHCH have a reputation for delivering the best care for patients and high quality clinical services. I have worked here for 14 years and I have seen first hand what a difference the care provided can make to peoples lives. I am proud to be part of such a great team and I hope that any money I can raise can help us to continue delivering world class care.

Elle's Story:

Hi everyone! My name is Elle. I have always been a thrill-seeker, chasing that rush of excitement wherever I can find it. Skydiving is definitely on my bucket list, it has always fascinated me, but my fear of heights has always got in the way. So in September, me and a few of my team will be facing our fear of heights head on and jumping from a plane and parachuting from around 10,000 feet! As well as the adrenaline rush, its about stepping out of my comfort zone and making a difference.

We are raising funds for Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, an organisation close to our hearts. For the past 3 years I have had the privilege of working at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. During my time working here, Ive seen first hand the incredible work they do, providing life saving treatments, support and care for patients. Every penny donated will go directly towards enhancing patient experiences and helping the hospital continue their vital work.

Any donations are massively appreciated, and we are so grateful for your support and generosity towards making an impact for our patients in need.

Emily's Story:

Hi! My name is Emily. I have decided 2024 is my year to do things I wouldn't usually do, and make lot's of memories. Sky Diving is something I never thought I'd agree to do as I don't like flying or heights! But I am so excited to be pushing myself to say 'yes' more, and I can't wait to step out of my comfort zone with a few members of my team and do this!

It has been just over 2 years since I started working at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) and I have been lucky enough to see the hard work and care that the staff here deliver to patients and their families daily.

I've worked at LHCH for almost 5 year's, as part of the fantastic Learning and Development team and like my colleagues have mentioned, skydiving is something that has always been on my bucket list. However, it is also the one that I'm most afraid off and have been putting off with.....one day. Well guess what? It's finally happening and ONE DAY will soon be here!!! In September this year, I will get to jump (or be pushed!) out of a plane, 10,000+ feet above the comfort and safety of the wonderful GROUND! By doing this, I will be facing a fear, hopefully making my husband and two daughters immensely proud, whilst also raising money for an exceptional charity.
