Story
Tragically, my beloved daughter Lily-May Vaughan was killed in a car crash aged 17. She was a passenger in a car. There are simply no words to express the trauma and devastation this has caused myself and Lily-May’s family and friends. Lily-May was so loved and she shouldn’t have lost her life prematurely. We miss and love her endlessly.
On the 2nd September 2024 Lily-May would have been celebrating her 19th birthday. She loved birthdays and we would have made fun plans to celebrate her special day. Sadly, she isn’t physically here with us, but her younger brother Travis and I would like to honour her 19th heavenly birthday by walking 19 miles in her memory.
We have chosen to raise money for RoadPeace in memory of Lily, because it is a charity close to our hearts. This charity has supported us compassionately and has helped us to navigate through the awful aftermath of loosing our precious Lily so tragically. We want to raise awareness to the fact that since records began in 1926, more than 500,000 people have been killed in roads in Great Britain. In Lily’s memory we want to help bring an end to all preventable cruel road deaths and injuries, so that we do not have new victims to remember in the future.
Please help us to remember and honour beautiful, kind Lily-May by raising money to make a difference to others. We know she will be smiling down on us on her birthday with such a fitting tribute. Xxx
