Story
My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgekin Lymphoma back in early 2022. This year he will take on the Brave catwalk for Friends of Anchor. Please read his story below.
To show my support, this year I will take on 4 different 5k runs, one for each stage of cancer. The first being the Garioch 5k in May. I have taken part in running events before but right now I am starting from scratch. The thought of it fills me with dread. But if my dad can do this, then so can I!
Please show your support by liking, sharing, leaving comment or leaving a penny!
Thanks

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgekin Lymphoma back in early 2022. Although currently in remission, this type of cancer cannot be cured just treated to help slow it down.
Through the help and support of my amazing wife Linda, as well as my three kids Leanne, Nikki and Andrew, I have had a new outlook on life and want to do something to show that life does go on!
I am taking part in this years Friends of Anchor Brave Catwalk to show people if you can’t be cured of cancer there is still lots to do with your life!
I want to help raise money for Friends of Anchor to show my thanks to the continued help and support I’ve received since my diagnosis! From the staff at Insch Community Hospital to the staff on the cancer wards at A.R.I, from the consultants right down to the tea trolley lady! My treatment has been intense and felt almost impossible at times but all the friendly staff I have encountered made it bearable!
Any donation is welcome big or small and greatly appreciated to go towards all the amazing work and support Friends of Anchor provide to people just like myself! However if you are not able to donate, giving this post a like, share or comment goes a long way too!
I look forward to seeing you all when I strut my stuff down the catwalk with 23 other men who are bravely facing diagnosis like myself!
