Story
Friends - today is Legal Aid of NC's first annual Day of Giving. Here at Legal Aid, we strive to make equal justice under the law accessible to EVERYONE, regardless of their ability to afford an attorney.
Legal Aid has many different offices and projects serving clients across the state, including veterans, children, people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, and families facing homelessness, among others.
My project (IMMPAV - Immigration Pathways for Victims) specifically focuses on serving immigrant victims & survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.
My caseload is made up of clients who have survived traumatic violence and whose incomes fall below the federal poverty guidelines. They receive legal representation at NO cost to them, thanks to the generous support of our donors.
Your donation helps us continue serving the folks who need it the most. There are so many unmet legal needs in our communities, and your support really makes a difference in helping to bridge the access-to-justice gap. Please join me in making a gift today!
Gratefully,
Leah
