Story
I personally have a deep, longstanding love of the public library. From story time when I was little, to checking out as many books as my arms could handle when I was a teenager, to holding five library cards and always maxing out my checked out books as an adult, there hasn't been a time in my life where I haven't benefitted from the public library. The Boston Public Library (BPL) is such an amazing institution that enriches the community in innumerable ways. It's not just its seemingly endless collections, but it's also the educational programming, the concerts, the exhibitions, and the fact that it exists as a safe, warm, welcoming space that make it so great.
I'm excited to be part of the Boston Public Library Fund Emerging Leaders program, and hope you will consider donating. In 2023, your donations delivered more than $63,000 to 21 branches of BPL and funded 29 new and innovative programs. This year, our goal is to raise $75,000 to invest in our city's neighborhood library branches.
