Jon Ghazi - LCCC 300 mile Lisbon to Lagos cycle fundraiser in support of Dave and Style Acre

Jon's 300 mile Charity cycle from Lisbon to Lagos in Portugal in support of Dave and Style Acre · 30 April 2025
A message from Jon Ghazi
Having spent the last 8 years raising funds for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (GOSH) by cycling almost 3,500 miles from my home near Oxford to Lisbon in Portugal, this year I am planning to raise funds for the charity that provides vital day care for my brother Dave who has severe learning difficulties/disabilities.
Style Acre is an amazing organisation. This year they are celebrating 30 years of providing supported living and opportunities to people with learning disabilities or autism. The latest government budget has hit them hard so any additional income from fundraising is critical to allow them to continue providing these essential services to those like Dave and families like ours who rely on them.
It really does make a huge difference to some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
Style Acre supports people like my brother to do fulfilling jobs, learn new skills, engage with their natural environment and focus on their health and happiness. This enables people to gain the independence, skills and connections that make for a good, purposeful life filled with smiles and joy.
Since we began this journey we have raised over £175,000 for GOSH and St David’s Hospice Care in 8 years and cycled through France, over the Pyrenees and across Spain into Portugal.
We start again on 30th April where we left off last year in Lisbon, Portugal, in the hope that we can get close to an ambitious target of £200,000 by the time we get to Lagos on 3rd May.
We are completely self-funded so all of your donations go straight to our charities.
If you are able to, please do support us, every little helps and I know that your donations will make an incredible difference to those that need it most.
Thank you, Jon and the LCCC team.
