Story
The issue
There are an estimated 250,000 street-connected children in Kolkata, India. Many of these children come from families who struggle to access daily necessities such as food, clean water and somewhere safe to sleep.
Other street-connected children are alone in the city and vulnerable to abuse, trafficking and exploitation. They start work as young as age five in order to buy food.
Why HOPE?
The Hope Foundation (HOPE) is a charity working with street-connected children in Kolkata, empowering them through education.
Many are first-generation learners who with HOPE's help are enabled to break the cycle of hardship and build a future that they deserve.
In HOPE's 25-year history, it has touched the lives of more than 3 million individuals.

We (that's myself and the two mini Evans) will walk 10,000 steps a day from 12 April until 12 May, in solidarity with street-connected children.
100% of funds raised will go towards education programmes for street children.
