We are contestants for this year's Strictly Shropshire, in aid of Hope House.

In January '23, we started dance lessons at Dance HQ. We wanted to do something fun together that was new to both of us. We really enjoyed the classes and were surprised when Ross (our teacher) asked us to audition for the upcoming event - Strictly Shropshire '23. We were very excited to be asked and when we found out more about the event we were very keen to apply. The audition day arrived and we went along to find out more about the charity and how the event runs. As part of the audition we also had to join in a dance class where we were shown three different dances, the Cha cha cha, the Waltz and the Charleston. We had so much fun at the audition and waited with baited breath to see if we have been chosen. When we received the email to say we were in, we were both thrilled!

In November, we will be joining 13 other couples in a Strictly performance at The Lion Quays, Oswestry. We will each perform a dance based on a movie/musical.
