Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.

This year Sarah and I will be taking on the Big Walk - 20 miles - on Friday 28 June 2024 - in support of Motor Neurone Disease Research at the University of Sheffield. Sarah’s Uncle Roger Cudmore passed away from this terrible condition.

Any donations are appreciated to help reach our fundraising goal!

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. There is currently no cure. It is commonly regarded as a rare condition. But this isn't true. 1 in every 300 people, across all UK communities, will develop MND in their lifetime. MND kills six people in the UK every day, with a third of those diagnosed losing their lives within just a year. Tragically, people die from this devastating disease because there are currently no treatments that can stop it. Your support can make a much needed breakthrough in MND come sooner. And improve the lives of patients long into the future.
