We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

On 29th July 2023 our lives changed forever. My brother-in-law, Gavin, had a seizure on a Greek beach; on return to the UK, he was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (GBM), a fast growing brain tumour. Our family is facing a massive challenge of what comes next! Taking inspiration from the family of an old school friend, Steve Holbrook, my aim is to take on my biggest, single summer challenge and raise as much money for Brain Tumour Research and help fund the fight to find a cure!

Trans-Eyri

3 days pedalling for 200km off-road across North Wales, unsupported, all alone in the wild! 4000m of climbing.

3 Peaks

3 mountains in 24 hours. Hiking 23 miles and climbing over 11,000 feet in just one weekend in June. To make the challenge a little tougher, I'm dragging a load of work colleagues along with me.

3 Marathons in 3 days

The big one and most definitely the biggest physical challenge I have attempted. Starting in Polzeath and finishing at Lands End the route covers three full marathons on three days, off-road along the Atlantic Coastal Path. It's going to hurt!

Please give all that you can to help Fund the Fight, if we can stop one family from the pain that we have experienced then we'll be moving in the right direction. https://braintumourresearch.org/

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
