Story
Join the Tea for Tools party and help young people qualify in a trade and earn a living.
Tools for Self Reliance supports young people across 5 countries in Africa to learn a trade and earn a sustainable income. For youth who have been unable to complete their education, it is already difficult to find employment, and now the cost of living crisis is compounding economic problems. Tools for Self Reliance projects deliver training in vocations from carpentry to tailoring, hairdressing to welding. With flexible training schedules to fit around childcare, business skills mentoring sessions, access to Village Savings and Loans schemes and quality tools refurbished by volunteers in the UK, trainees graduate with the skills and confidence to transition to work or start up their own businesses.
The Dalgleish Trust has promised to match fund up to £10,000 of Tea for Tools donations made during May and June, so please give what you can and help more people build resilient livelihoods.
