Story
In July 2022, I began working for the YMCA of Northern Colorado & Southern Wyoming and every day that I enter a YMCA facility, I see the powerful difference that the Y makes on the lives of individuals, families, and seniors every day. From communities in Boulder, CO, all the way to Cheyenne, WY (and everywhere in between!) the YMCA reaches so many lives in so many different ways.
What makes the YMCA so special, is that we are truly more than just a place to work out. The incredible scope and depth of our programs affects multiple generations, regardless of economic status and demographic, all due to donor-funded financial assistance.
Through the generosity of donors, the Y has been able to:
• Provide nearly $2 million in financial assistance for families, seniors and individuals accessing Y programs and membership in Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming.
• Grow confidence and sportsmanship for 1,669 children that became a teammate in Y sports programs. An additional 1,400 adults, teens had fun out on the rink by participating in our learn-to-skate, hockey, and figure skating programs.
• Give more than 8,000 seniors a place to find connection, community and wellness support at the Y, improving their mental, emotional and physical health.
• Serve more than 4,000 children with licensed childcare programs annually, including preschool, after-school care and summer camps. Of those families, 1,200 had the financial burden of childcare relieved by YMCA, allowing parents to work, support their families and contribute to the economic vitality of the region.
Make these programs (and so much more!) possible in the year to come. Donate today!
