Story
On Friday 4 October, I am taking on the challenge of Boycott your Bed, sleeping out to support vulnerable children across the UK and raising vital funds for Action for Children.
4.3 million children now live in poverty in the UK. That’s 30% of all children. It’s easy to think poverty happens elsewhere. But it’s affecting the child in the park. Next door. The children whose names you know.
With our help, Action for Children could give a child warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed. You could help us to be there, with love and without judgement, in moments of crisis when children are living without the essentials. Every child deserves a good start in life.
Please support with raising vital funds and help more children have a safe and happy childhood. £50 could pay for new shoes for two children, £60 could help pay for a family's household bills for a week, including gas and electricity, or £250 could pay for bedding and furnishings for 10 young people moving into care, to help make their room feel like their own.
