Help Me Make a Difference – My Half Marathon Challenge!

Hi everyone,

If you know me, you’ll know that I’m not a runner (far from it!), but this year I’m stepping way out of my comfort zone. I’ve decided to take on the challenge of running a half marathon to raise money for Prostate Cancer Uk, a cause that’s close to my heart.

Why? Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes. As our charity partner, Prostate Cancer UK are doing all they can to help reduce this figure, from raising awareness to vital screening programmes early diagnosis is the key. They provide life-changing support to people in need and making a difference. 25 years ago we lost my grandad to prostate cancer and this run will be in memory of him.

This will be no easy feat for me. Training has already been a journey full of aching muscles, early mornings, and the occasional self-doubt, but I’m determined to push through for this amazing cause. Every step I take (or shuffle!) on race day will be fueled by your support.
