On the 3rd December- I will be taking part in an Action Mental Health’s “Festive Splash” to raise money for AMH mental health services.

As an employee at Action Mental Health, I have seen first hand how life-saving and impactful these services can be. 1 in 4 adults in Northern Ireland lives with a diagnosed mental health condition. NI also has the highest suicide rates in Europe, the highest depression rates in the UK and the highest anti-depressant rates worldwide.

Despite this, NI receives the lowest levels of mental health funding in the British Isles and Action Mental Health has recently been severely impacted by the loss of European funding which funded 10 AMH hubs. Each of these hubs provide vital services to those impacted by mental ill-health.
