Every Day in May for Dravet 2025

Every Day in May for Dravet · 1 May 2025 to 31 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Myself (Lauren), my aunty (Diane) and our uncle (Stewart) is taking part in Every Day in May For Dravet 2025! We will cover 5km every single day throughout the month of May. That's a huge 155km in total!
My cousin and Diane daughter Isabelle has Dravet Syndrome, which is a rare, life-long and life limiting neurological condition that includes severe and prolonged seizures, intellectual disability and a range of associated health conditions, like Autism, ADHD and problems with speech, mobility and sleep. Around one in every 15,000 babies in the UK is born with Dravet Syndrome, and sadly, 1 in 5 don't reach their 18th birthday.
Isabelle has this condition but it’s been a rollercoaster to get to where we are now! Isabelle is 19 now, she suffered her first seizure at 4 months old and finally got a diagnosis for Dravet Syndrome later on in life at 9. Isabelle first years of her life with seizures meant she was constantly in and out of hospital and PICU. This affected Isabelle and us as a family as we missed out on experiencing her first stages of her life. Isabelle now has seizures on weekly basis but it does not stop Isabelle being the loving, caring and huggable person she is! Living her life at every Olly Murs concert singing her heart out and Thrope park trips for abit of a thrill. We love nothing more than spending time with her and watching her grow as human! Even through all struggles of hospital appointments and drug trials Isabelle always seems to impact everyone with laughter and smiles and most definitely confident to make you her best friend.
Our aim is to raise for Dravet Syndrome UK, to support their vital work in bringing hope to families living with Dravet Syndrome through support, education and medical research. To find out more about their work, visit www.dravet.org.uk.
We are going to need all the support and encouragement we can get to keep us going through this huge challenge, so please dig deep to cheer us on. All donations, no matter how big or small, are greatly appreciated and make such a huge difference. Thanks for your support!
