Story

I am running 29 miles in February to raise vital funds supporting St John's Hospice.

St John’s looked after my Dad during the last weeks of his life - the care, compassion and laughs they gave him, they are frankly remarkable. My Dad had made it clear where he wanted to be when his time was short, and I can truly understand why. They made the worst time of our lives, somewhat more bearable, ensuring that my Dad spent his last moments surrounded by love with his family & his dog.

Around one third of their funding is from the NHS, for the remaining two thirds they rely on donations from our amazing community. Every penny raised makes a difference to their work, enabling the charity to work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year offering care, compassion and support during one of the most difficult times people face.

My fundraising will help them fund a range of services in the Hospice and in patient homes across North Lancashire, the South Lakes and areas of North Yorkshire.

Thank you for your support 💙
