Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my first ever charity fund raising and JustGiving page! You’re clearly a legend for clicking this far 🙌🏼 so please read a little further and donate at the bottom.
I’ve decided to raise money for Pendleside Hospice; a charity close to my heart and here’s why…
You don’t expect to be stepping over the doorstep of a hospice but life has a way of throwing a curve ball at your every so often and that is exactly what I found myself doing on 9th November 2021.
There was only 54 days from the day Dad was diagnosed with cancer to the day he passed away. It was a whirlwind and abit of a blur really but what I do know is that I’m incredibly grateful for the dignity and care that Pendleside Hospice provided to him during that final stage.
The money I raise will go directly to the hospice and provide funds to allow them to support patients and families in similar situations.
THE CHALLENGE:
I’m planning to walk 250,000 steps over a total of a month starting on 21st October (my birthday) ending a month later on the 2 year anniversary of loosing Dad.
It might seem like a soft target for some but those who know me will realise this is a genuine challenge. The biggest effort will be finding the time to fit this in around work and kids who have a busier social diary than Taylor Swift 🤪
Please donate what you can. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you 🙏🏼
