I'm raising money for the RSPCA Blackberry Farm Animal Centre

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
I have worked at Blackberry Farm for 7 years now and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. All the animals that we assist rely on the support of all the lovely people out there to rehabilitate them ready for their new homes. Yet not all are fortunate enough to make it to their forever homes as some don’t get to us in time before medical or behavioural issues can’t be helped.
So, 3.5 years after running London Marathon in memory of Maxy, I will be running TCS London Marathon 2025 in memory of my Ziggy, a little shih-tzu who stole my heart in the 18 months I worked with him. He found it hard to trust people but I earned that from him and it meant the world to me. Animals like Ziggy may not make it out to a forever home but they find one in our hearts and their memory lives on through us every day. He taught me so much and those lessons allow me to help all the animals I’ve met since in a way I couldn’t have before.
The RSPCA Blackberry Farm Animal Centre rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals rescued from neglect and bad treatment by their previous owners. They look after dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, farm animals and many other types of small domestic animals - at any one time we could be caring for over 200 animals.
They rely on donations to continue their important work. Please help raise money for the animals in their care!
It can take weeks and sometimes months to rehabilitate animals. Our staff and volunteers work hard to ensure every animal that comes through our doors will find their 'perfect match'.
