The events of recent years have left over a third of young people feeling that the odds are stacked against them. I've spoken to so many people and seen this affect friends, family and also felt it a lot myself. The Co-op in partnership with Barnardo's believes that young people deserve a better future, and so we have teamed up to bring communities together to support them.

Co-op colleagues are walking, running, cycling and climbing to raise £5,000,000 over the next two and a half years to support 750,000 young people to access basic needs like food, manage their mental wellbeing and opportunities for their future.

This is an amazing cause which is why I jumped at the opportunity to help fundraise for the Barnardo's + Coop - Sahara Trek in 2025!

It will be an amazing experience while also being a whole new challenge for me and definitely push me out of my usual comfort zone. I will be doing training throughout the year to get fitter along with pushing myself creatively to help raise money.
