Story

My Story. I was surprised by my husband with a gift of participating in a 7500ft Skydive for my birthday ( the jump is on October 28th). I have went on and on for years that a skydive was on my bucket list and how I would love to do one, the fact I'm now all booked in and set up to do one on the other hand is making me almost swallow my words and has filled me with dread ha ha. So i have been thinking and I have come to the conclusion that maybe if I was doing it for a reason other then I'm totally bonkers then I will for sure go through with it as it will mean i have done it not just for my bucket list but also for a good cause. so I have decided that I would love to dedicate my jump to Walker emergency foodbank appeal. I work for a small charity in the heart of Walker called Building Futures East we do so many amazing things within this organisation when it comes to supporting residents in and outside of Walker such as employability, housing and various workshops/sessions supporting vulnerable families and women and on top of that we also run a none sponsored or funded foodbank who are solely reliant on public donations.

Families in Newcastle are struggling to make ends meet due to the devastating impacts of the cost of living crisis. As we rely purely on public donations, each week we really struggle to keep the shelves stocked to be able to provide food parcels to those in need.

As I work for this charity I see first hand how much households are struggling. As staff there is only so much you can do to help, we have all brought our own donations in in the past but each week is getting tougher and tougher to keep up with the demand.

I would love it if you could please donate anything you can towards this cause and spread the post too to get it circulated. All donations i receive will be going purely into the foodbank to ensure we can keep up with the demand in food parcels each week.

My goal target of £750 will be enough to feed 27 families for 1 week, those numbers may sound small, but to us it really is a huge help and makes such a huge difference.

Thank you so much for taking time out to read and thank you if your able to help, wish me luck and pray for me.
