Story
Burnley FC in the Community (BFCITC) has summoned me to appear at Burnley Police Station on Friday 19th April to take part in The Big Burnley Breakout.
I will be provided with prison-issue clothing on arrival to the custody suites, taken to my cell and left there until I have raised enough money.
I have to raise £2,000 on the day before they will let me out!
BFCITC is the official charity of Burnley FC.
The charity is actively engaged in positively transforming the lives of individuals across a broad spectrum of society, spearheading more than 50 community projects.
Their engagement spans all age groups, ranging from preschoolers to seniors. Though they are embedded within the ethos of Burnley FC, they are financially independent from the football club. BFCITC relies on fundraising activities, donations, sponsorships, and grants to do the vital work they do and every penny we raise goes to developing new opportunities for those who need it most.
Burnley is a special place, a home to extraordinary people and together they inspire, support, and deliver positive change for all.
I have been lucky enough to work with the BFCITC and Burnley Football Club for almost two years and it's time to give something back!
Please give generously and get me out of there!
