Story

Please note - individuals are feeding into the bike ride fundraiser with their own challenges....

"Here it asks me to describe my team, as the team name suggests, they are all legends. Whether they are cycling from Manchester to Blackpool (and in some cases back to Manchester) or playing 4 rounds of golf in one day, you are all absolute legends and i love each & everyone of you.

Paul"

--- Personally, Me and my husband, Ant are doing this Double Edge fundraiser, climbing across two ridges to two peaks over 2 weekends in 7 days, for the amazing, inspirational Lottie and her family, raising money for the wards and teams of angels in Manchester who dedicate their lives to children going through the long, hard slog of cancer treatment.

As most of you know, Lottie is my son, Jake's, little 8yo sister. We were all on holiday in Mallorca together at the back end of 2023, and within days of us all returning home, Lottie's life and that of her family, totally out of the blue, was turned upside down with the discovery of a large brain tumour and subsequent diagnosis of an incredibly rare form of cancer, named Ewing Sarcoma. Since the end of October 2023, Lottie hasnt been to school, her family hasn't been able to work, as she's spent the majority of her life since then, including Xmas and her birthday in hospital fighting an unfathomable fight.

Me & Ant are going to scale two of the most frightening and high ridges possible (well, ones without needing major gear anyway) over the next 2 weekends. Crib Goch route to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) (3560ft) at 6am 27th May and Sharp Edge route to Blencathra (2848ft) in the Lake District on 1st June - I'm not a massive fan of heights (don't really get much higher than these!) & my OCPD means I've already filled my head with not coming back. Please donate even a quid to spur me on to hold on extra tight, but obviously more importantly, raise money for these unbelievably valuable & life changing places and people 💙

(please note, specific dates may change if the weather is too dangerous)
