The Sunshine Fund Trek 2024 · 24 May 2024

On Friday 24th May, a team of Sunshine Trekkers will be taking on a 13-mile hike along one of the North East's most iconic landmarks to support local babies, children and young adults living with additional needs and terminal illness in our region.

Story

Laura, Kelly & Elise are trekking Hadrian's Wall! This 13-mile walk will push us to our limit as we aim to conquer steep inclines, including its highest point at 1,000ft, and complete the challenge in under 8 hours!

The Sunshine Fund is a small charity based in the North East which provides specialist and adapted equipment to local babies, children and young adults living with disabilities, additional needs and terminal illness.

The charity receives zero statutory funding and so The Hadrian's Wall Trek will raise vital funds to support the growing demand in this equipment, and to improve the daily lives of these children.
