I've always wanted to skydive, but I've had this fear of dying. I still have it. However, after giving birth almost 4 years ago, bigger fears were unlocked due to my daughter almost dying. As some of you know, my daughter, Gloria, was born with a horrible disease that affected her life entirely. That led to great suffering and numerous surgical procedures in order to save her life. Everything wouldn't have been possible without the incredible care and medical treatments offered by Evelina London Children's Hospital. In a way, this hospital saved my family's life altogether. This year, I've decided to face one of my fears, the one of dying, by skydiving and in the process to support the hospital who is keeping my daughter alive. Despite Gloria receiving a life saving transplant, she still has to go to hospital monthly for bloods and check ups. Her immune system is not the greatest and what seems common for kids her age regarding viruses and infections, for her can be very dangerous. But I trust our team of medical professionals from Evelina to keep Gloria as healthy as her condition allows it.
