The Thames Trail Ultra is a 47(ish) mile ultra marathon from Iffley in Oxford to Henley.
That's extremely far. In fact it will be the longest I've ever continuously run...so I thought I would take the opportunity of this big challenge to help raise some funds for the Gorleston Pavilion Trust, where my husband, Tom, is the chair of trustees, and my lovely friend, Alex, is the CEO. I want to help them reach their fundraising goals because if you've ever met either of them you will know how great they are.

We're living in a time where arts funding has been slashed, careers in creative fields are denigrated, and with an ongoing cost of living crisis fewer people are heading out.
But we're also getting more lonely. We're working harder and longer than ever before, and we need a place for community and enjoyment!

The Gorleston Pavilion is a beacon of light in these difficult times with an incredible program of shows, as well as housing a theatre school and also BEES on the roof 🐝 (so actually if you sponsor me, you're getting a two-fer and helping out the bees as well)
This beautiful Edwardian building requires significant upkeep, and to get it restored to its former glory will take more than ticket sales alone.
I know my fundraising target is absolutely massive, especially in the cozzy livs. All the same I would be so grateful for anything you can donate, however small, to get me through the horror of this trail race and ultimately get this theatre the funding it so desperately needs!
And honestly if you kept reading this far you're already a hero.
