Story
Living with a rare chronic condition, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), can turn your world upside down. Burning Nights CRPS Support is an independent UK charity dedicated to not only raising awareness for this debilitating & life-changing condition but to also support anyone who’s lives have been affected by it. They focus their work on both the UK and more widely through there accessible digital resources and information.
Burning Nights is here to support CRPS patients & their families, friends & carers with our frontline services.
Raising awareness of CRPS is crucial to get patients diagnosed quicker & treatment started sooner, to give a better prognosis.
In my own practice, I see the impact of having good and reliable resources to share with people living with this condition. It means the world to me to be able to confidently share the Burning Nights website and resources and I'm doing this walk to say thank you to Victoria and her brilliant team for all that they do.
Please, give what you can, no donation is too small, every little helps.
The Challenge
In June I will walking the Camino de Santiago for the first time! I'll be walking 110km from Sarria to Santiago in Spain, following in the footsteps of hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and walkers that came before me.
I chose this challenge, because walking is an activity that non-disabled people take for granted and yet is hands down the most common goal that people I work with want to work towards.
Walking represents freedom and independence that pain and disability can take from us. And in a society that doesn't prioritise accessible urban and space design, being able to move around your local community and society can feel impossible.
Every day, I'll be vlogging about my experience and raising awareness of CRPS and the great resources available by Burning Nights.
