Thank you for supporting the Lolly Gilmour Fund page, raising funds in memory of Lolly for the bone and soft tissue cancer charity, Sarcoma UK.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page. I’ve chosen to run the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon for Sarcoma UK in memory of Lolly Gilmour💜

Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat.

Sadly my friend , Lolly Gilmour , aged 42, lost her fight with sarcoma . Lolly was diagnosed in may 2020 , after surgery and treatments lolly could no longer fight it and in November 2023 she passed peacefully with her family around her.

Lolly used the support line at sarcoma Uk to help the daily battles living with cancer. She fought through the highs and lows always with a smile on her face. She was amazing.

£150 could fund the support line for one week

I am running in her memory , for her husband, Dan, her children Cooper and Wren , her parents Jean , Barry and the rest of the family.

Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated 💜

Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:

- £1 could cover the cost of 10 texts to the support line

- £10 could be used to buy microscope slides to look at cells in minute detail

- £30 could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope

- £150 could fund the support line for a week

Thank you for your support.
