Story
The Three generations of Mylesys and Southies are doing a short walk together on Saturday to fundraise for Claire House Hospice one of the wonderful organisations who have been supporting our little great niece and cousin Ava who has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma tumour. Claire house provides emotional support, respite care , counselling to help children and young people live life to the fullest and create wonderful memories, bring back a sense of normality to their lives and of course specialist nursing. If you’d like to give a donation to Claire House it would be greatly appreciated.
In partnership with Eureka! Science & Discovery and Mersey Ferries, the Claire House Lantern Walk returns on Saturday 12th October.
Last year, 850 people took part in the Lantern Walk and this year we hope to have over 1000 people walking together. The route starts and finishes at Seacombe Ferry Terminal and everyone can collect their lanterns from inside Eureka from 5.30pm onwards.
The walk starts at 6.30pm, and as dusk turns to night, we’ll light our way along the prom, to Vale Park, through the park and back to Seacombe Ferry Terminal.
There’ll be entertainment at the start and along the route and there is free parking at Seacombe Ferry Terminal all night.
The Claire House Lantern Walk is the perfect event for the whole family to take part in and support your local children’s hospice.
